Music Festivals to Watch Out for in Mercer County

Mercer County will have music in the air this summer with a variety of music festivals and performances throughout July and August. Enjoy scenic views and wonderful music in Mercer County, Pa!

Mercer Community Band Concert Series- Friday Nights thru August 12th

Known as the Best Free Entertainment on a Friday Night, join the Mercer County Community Band in celebrating 45 years of concerts on the square! The events will have ice cream socials from 6-9 PM, warm-up music at 6 PM, and the concert will begin at 7:30 PM. The schedule is as follows:

July 8th- “A Special Concert”

July 15th- “45th Anniversary Concert”

July 22nd- Musicals and Movies”

July 29th- “Big Band Bash”

August 5th- “A Special Concert”

August 12th- “A Mercer County Jamboree”

In case of inclement weather concerts will be held in the Mercer High School Auditorium.

The concerts will be held at the Mercer County Courthouse Square located at Pitt St (E. Market St.), Mercer, PA 16137.

Buhl Park Summer Concert Series- Wednesdays and Sundays thru August 31st

Every Sunday at 6 PM and Wednesday at 6:30 PM there will be free concerts held at Buhl Park’s Performing Arts Center Outdoor Stage. The Cabin Café concession stand will be open with a wide variety of food, including the famous grilled hot dogs! This year will also feature the Healthy Hut by Buhl Regional Health Foundation and the Community Food Warehouse which will be available every Wednesday.

The concerts will be held at Buhl Farm Park, Hermitage, PA.

Hermitage Arts Festival- July 30th and 31st

Saturday: Noon – 9:00 PM, Fireworks at 9:30 PM

Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The Hermitage Arts Festival is free and open to the public. The festival will kick off with a 5K run on Saturday morning, starting at 8:30 AM. At this event, you will enjoy a Saturday concert featuring “Menagerie” and other local bands. This event will also feature an artist marketplace, OH WOW’s Mr. Ralph, a pet costume contest, Hermitage Recreation Day Celebration, fireworks, and so much more.

The Hermitage Art Festival will be held at Rodney White Olympic Park, 800 North Hermitage Road, Hermitage, PA 16148.

7th Annual Brews, Bikes, and Bands- August 6th

Enjoy the live music from two of the region’s most renowned bands while you stroll the Courthouse Square in Mercer, PA. This event will also feature displays of vintage motorcycles from many eras. Browse visiting vendor displays featuring motorcycle apparel, accessories, memorabilia, and jewelry. You will also enjoy sampling delicious food and craft beer from local restaurants and breweries.

7th Annual Brews, Bikes, and Bands will be held at the Mercer Courthouse Square, North Diamond Street, Mercer, PA 16137.

Friends of Goddard (FROG) have put together an amazing weekend of entertainment for August 12th, 13th, and 14th! There will be a variety of live bands performing on the scenic shore of Lake Wilhelm. The band lineup includes:

Fireworks will be on Saturday, and a care cruise will be held on Sunday. We recommend you take your lawn chair, bike, and/or fishing pole and enjoy the sights and sounds of Goddard State Park.

Transfer Harvest Home Fair- August 22nd – 27th

Monday, August 22nd- 10:00 AM – Saturday, August 17th- 11:00 PM

The Transfer Harvest Home Fair is a week-long fair that will kick off with the Miss Transfer Harvest Home Fair Queen Pageant and Entry Day on August 22nd, 2022. The annual parade will be held on Tuesday.

The Fair will feature live music at the main pavilion every night. Track events will include Demo Derbies and various Truck and Tractor pulls. There will be a variety of tasty food vendors set up on the main grounds of the Fair as well as Lots of great food vendors will be set up on the main grounds, and a crafter and small vendors show will be held in the commercial building.

Rides and games will be set up to entertain all ages, and the Transfer Volunteer Fire Department will host bingo every night of the Fair. On Saturday, there will be an Antique Tractor and Car Show on Saturday along with a Kids Fest. The Bob Novak memorial gun raffle will also be held the week of the Fair. General admission is $1.00 per person with no charge for ages four and under. Parking is free on the fairgrounds, and additional admission is charged for track events.

The Transfer Harvest Home Fair will be held at 117 Edgewood Drive Ext. Transfer, Pennsylvania 1615.
