Basketball fans and community members, get ready. The Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is coming to Buhl Park in Hermitage, PA, this July 25 – 27. It will bring fast-paced games, great energy, and plenty of action for spectators of all ages.
Gus Macker isn’t your average basketball tournament. Started in 1974 by Scott McNeal in Lowell, Michigan, the event began as a friendly game among friends. Today, it’s a national tournament series that draws crowds in towns and cities across the country, uniting people through their shared love of basketball.
The tournament features 3-on-3 street-style basketball, with teams of all ages and skill levels competing outdoors on blacktop courts. But even if you’re not playing, there’s a lot to enjoy:
Whether you stay for an afternoon or spend the whole weekend at the park, the tournament is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and connect with the community.
You don’t need to be on a team to enjoy the fun. Spectators are encouraged to come out, watch the games, and soak up the atmosphere. It’s a chance to support local athletes, enjoy some summer entertainment, and experience an event that’s been bringing people together for decades.
