Jason Michaels Memorial 5K
This race honors Jason Michaels’s memory, who was the race director of this event in the past when it was called the “Freedom Fun Run.” Set on a flat, easy-to-navigate course, it’s a thoughtful and supportive event open to all levels of runners and walkers.

Hosted by the Sharpsville Area Lions Club, this scenic run along Shenango River Lake helps raise funds for local service initiatives. With beautiful lakeside views and a friendly crowd, it’s a relaxing way to spend a Saturday morning while giving back to the community.

Support a local animal shelter and enjoy a morning outdoors with fellow animal lovers. Choose between a full 5K or a shorter 1-mile walk. Leashed dogs are welcome, and there will be awards for pets and a treat for each dog that finishes!

Location: LindenPointe Innovative Business Campus, 3182 Innovation Way, Hermitage, PA 16148
Presented by Shenango River Watchers, this 15K (9.3-mile) trail race runs point-to-point along the scenic Shenango Trail in Hermitage. Originally a towpath for a 19th-century canal system, the trail has been revived for hiking and outdoor recreation. Runners will enjoy primarily flat terrain, shaded single-track paths, and beautiful views along the Shenango River, named Pennsylvania’s 2021 River of the Year.
There is no race day registration. Register by June 26 to receive a t-shirt in your preferred size. Registration closes on July 8, 2025.
