Get ready for the 2nd annual “Slainte Sharon” St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 16, 2024!

Slainte (pronounced Slawn-cha) is a popular toast in Ireland and means ‘cheers’ and/or “to your health’ in Irish Gaelic.

Join the City of Sharon as they celebrate with cheers and good health. This unique parade is the first of its kind in Mercer County and promises to be a fantastic event. It starts at 6 PM on Thursday, March 16, at Penn State Shenango and ends at The Original Quaker Steak & Lube in Sharon.’

Exciting Additions to the Parade for a Good Cause

The city has some exciting additions to this year’s parade. Bring your pet dressed in their finest costume and join the fun! They also encourage you to bring donations for local animal organizations, such as bedding, towels, litter, and pet food. These items will be donated to local animal organizations who will be judging the parade!

Schedule of Events and Post-Parade Festivities to Keep the Party Going!

After the parade, Quaker Steak & Lube is hosting post-parade festivities. Enjoy live music and explore the vendor area.

Schedule of events:

  • 6 PM: Parade kicks off on Shenango Avenue, behind Penn State Shenango campus
  • 7:15 PM: Blessing of the Pets and Awards Ceremony with DJ Rick on the QS&L stage behind the restaurant, plus a small vendor area
