A product of Pittsburgh’s many incredible contributions to the Doo-Wop and vocal genre in the late 1950’s, The Skyliners, founded by Jimmy Beaumont in 1958, broke out of the Burgh and onto the national stage with their huge 1959 hit, Since I Don’t Have You. The group followed up with several other Top 40 hits in the early 1960’s. In later years, Jimmy Beaumont resurrected the group, and continued performing with them regularly until his passing in 2017.
In recent years, The Skyliners have continued to carry the torch all over the United States, performing their most notable songs, plus a variety of other vocal hits in a tribute to that golden age of music.
For the next installment of our Festhalle Concert Series, The Apollo Maennerchor Club is proud to announce that this legendary group’s amazing vocal harmonies will be resonating through our Festhalle next month, on Wednesday, March 27.
Doors will be at 6:00 pm, and the show will commence at 7:00 pm. General admission tickets are $40, and as always, are limited and will sell out quickly.
