Mark your calendars now for the 4th-annual “Sláinte Sharon” St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026!
“Sláinte” (pronounced slawn-cha) is a popular toast in Ireland and means “cheers” and/or “to your health” in Irish Gaelic. Help us cheer on Sharon at this fourth-annual Mercer County event!
The parade is set to kick off at 4 PM Saturday, March 14th on the campus of Penn State Shenango and will finish up at the Original Quaker Steak & Lube.
Then, join us for After-Parade Festivities at Quaker Steak & Lube, including live music and a St. Patrick’s Day Marketplace!
Schedule of Events (tentative; subject to change):
2-6 PM: DJ under the Big Tent with a St. Patrick’s Day Marketplace (Email originalqsl@gmail.com to learn more about being a vendor!)
3 PM: Lucky Duck Race on the Shenango River
4 PM: Parade kicks off on Shenango Avenue (behind Penn State Shenango campus)
5 PM: Parade ends (approx.) at Quaker Steak & Lube, Sharon (101 Chestnut Avenue)
QSL After Parade Festivities:
2-6 PM: DJ under the Big Tent with a St. Patrick’s Day Marketplace
5:15-5:20 PM: Blessing of the Pets
5:20 – 5:45 PM: Performances by dance partners
5:45 PM: Announcement of parade winners
6-9 PM: Live music by Five Deep under the Big Tent
We also invite pets (and their owners!) to come in costume to participate and invite the public to bring items for animals in need, including gently used bedding/towels, litter and pet food to be donated to local animal organizations – who will be judging the parade! Donations can be dropped off at Quaker Steak & Lube the week before and day-of.
