As the spooky season approaches, Mercer County is gearing up for various exciting Halloween events for kids. From pumpkin patches to trick-or-treating, there are plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy throughout October.
One great way to kick off the Halloween celebrations is visiting one of Mercer County’s many pumpkin patches. These farms offer kids a fun and festive atmosphere to pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving or decorating. Some even offer hayrides, corn mazes, and other activities for a full day of fall fun. On Friday, October 29th at 6 p.m., visit Munnel Run Farm, where you can learn more about our native reptiles and amphibians with herpetologist April Claus of Interactive Environmental Programs & the Mercer County Conservation District’s 2023 Pioneers in Conservation Educator Awardee. Visit Fair Haven Farms on October 21st and 22nd from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. You can bring the kids to the pumpkin patch. You can purchase any size pumpkin and decorate and paint the pumpkin for free! October 28th and 20th, 2023 – 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Fair Haven Farms will also host a Costume Day. Guests who visit the farm in costume will receive one free Punkin Chunkin ticket.
Guests can also enjoy a hayride, corn maze, kid zone, giant slides, ninja course, games, ducky races, toddler maze, tire extravaganza, corn crib, creepy tepee, giant bouncy balls, hamster wheels, farm animals, and so much more!
