On August 9th, 2025, the Mercer County Agricultural Development Council invites residents and visitors alike to take part in a unique, self-guided Agriculture Tour Day. This free event offers a thoughtful way to explore Mercer County’s agricultural roots and ongoing contributions to the region—all while enjoying a day of discovery, learning, and local pride.
In conjunction with the America250PA – Mercer County Advisory Committee, this tour is part of the county’s broader celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary. Through these efforts, Mercer County is honoring not only national milestones but also the community members and industries that have shaped our region’s past, present, and future, including agriculture.
Participants are encouraged to travel at their own pace as they visit three key sites that represent different aspects of Mercer County’s vibrant agricultural community. Each stop offers a unique lens into the importance of agriculture both historically and today.
