WaterFire Sharon, PA, ends the 2019 season with outstanding events & entertainment on the Shenango River!

WaterFire Sharon, PA, Pennsylvania’s Top Rated Event, will light the fires one last time in 2019

The region’s premier art & music festival, WaterFire, Sharon PA will host its final event of the season on September 21st from 2:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. with the lighting ceremony at dusk.

Visitors attending this free, family/pet-friendly event can expect art, music, food, performances and the much-anticipated lighting of more than 50 blazing bonfires on the Shenango River at dusk.

WaterFire Sharon will host over 65 artisans and non-profit organizations in downtown Sharon, PA. Each will be selling and showcasing their specialties including fine arts, crafts, jewelry and more. Food vendors will be serving festival favorites including roast beef sandwiches, gyros, French fries and much more.

Along with the artisans, visitors can shop at world-class shopping destinations such as Reyers Shoe Store where they are sure to have your size, Daffin’s Candies, Thyme in your Kitchen for specialty cookware and The Winner Gowntown for ladies fashions.  Restaurants in downtown Sharon will also be serving their own delicious creations.

Other activities include the Children’s Fun Zone from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. located on State Street between Water Avenue and Main Street with activities for kids including create your own tote bag, a bouncy house, vegetable racing, music activities, making bird feeders from ice cream cones, maracas from plastic Easter eggs and coloring books that kids can take home.

The feature musical entertainment is the Hern Brothers Band, a high energy rock, funk, disco show.  They will perform on the East State at 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Join the Sharon Historical Society for a Downtown Sharon History Walk.  The walk will explore the rich history of the Upper East Hill on East State Street and Oakland Avenue. This section was once a premier residential area full of big homes and mansions.

Attendees will learn the history of the neighborhood, view never before seen photographs, see unique styles of architecture and hear tales of the owners and builders of these magnificent properties.  There will be three walks at the following times: Noon; 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Each walk will start at Daffin’s Candies at 496 E. State Street.  Walks are free and open to all. Donations are appreciated.
