Get ready to tee it up on May 15th and 16th as the Tri-State PGA returns to Mercer County for its annual Tourism Pro-AM tournament. This is your chance to join some of America’s top professional golfers in a fun, exciting event that takes place across stunning courses.
PGA members have provided passionate service to the golf community since 1921, and their dedication has led to enhanced enjoyment of this classic game at over 200 facilities across Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Join us for a memorable experience as the Mercer County Tourism Pro-AM kicks off on May 15th at Hermitage’s Tam O’ Shanter! This 18-hole public golf course has been providing an exceptional golf adventure to visitors in this Pennsylvania town for 80 years and is proud to be owned and operated by one family. Gather your clubs – tee time starts promptly at 10:00 am!
Tam O’ Shanter is a member of the Tri-State PGA, a local section of the PGA. “We thought it would be a great avenue to generate interest in the area as a golf destination and also highlight overnight stays, restaurants, and shops,” said John Kerins, co-owner of Tam O’ Shanter and PGA Director of Golf.
Golfers from around the Tri-State area will be teeing off on May 16th at Grove City Country Club for round two of the PGA tournament. Established in 1917, this 18-hole course was designed by renowned architects Tim Bendelow and John Ponko to create a challenging experience amid beautiful natural surroundings. It promises to be an exciting day!
Come one, come all! Whether you are a golf enthusiast looking to watch the tournament or an experienced player eager for competition, this event has something for everyone. Entrance is free and open to the public; however, players hoping to join in on the action must contact their local PGA Professional beforehand.
