Sláinte Sharon St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festivities

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 15, 2025, as downtown Sharon bursts into a sea of green for the 3rd annual “Sláinte Sharon” St. Patrick’s Day Parade! “Sláinte,” (pronounced slawn-cha), is the classic Irish toast meaning “cheers” or “to your health” – and that’s exactly what this event is all about.

The parade kicks off at 4 PM from Shenango Avenue (behind the Penn State Shenango campus) and marches down to the iconic Quaker Steak & Lube on Chestnut Avenue. Expect vibrant floats, lively performances, and plenty of Irish spirit!

But the fun doesn’t stop there! The festivities continue with:

A St. Patrick’s Day Marketplace (3 PM – 6 PM) – Featuring local vendors like Lydalia Gardens and Allie’s Sweet Tooth, perfect for finding unique gifts and tasty treats.

  • A Pet Blessing (5:15 PM) – Dress your furry friends in festive attire and join in the blessing ceremony.
  • Live Entertainment (6 PM – 9 PM) – The band Five Deep keeps the energy high with a night of music and celebration.
  • Donations for Local Animal Organizations – Bring gently used bedding, towels, litter, or pet food to support a great cause.
