The beautiful Helen Black Miller Chapel is located on the grounds of the Mercer County Historical Society headquarters in Mercer. Originally known as the Church of St. Edmund the Martyr and located on East Venango Street, the chapel was purchased by MCHS and moved to its current location in 1972. Dedicated to the memory of Helen Black Miller, whose life was devoted to the performance of vocal and instrumental music, the chapel is now available for rental for weddings, recitals, and other special occasions. It is also the home of the Mercer County Historical Society Chamber Players, who give free concerts in the chapel three times a year. Contact the MCHS office at 119 South Pitt Street or 724-662-3490 for more information on renting the chapel.
