The holiday season is a wonderful time to come to Mercer County PA. Enjoy fun holiday activities without the hassles of traffic jams and parking fees. Our scenic countryside areas and charming towns offer a welcome escape from the stress and hectic pace of larger cities. Mercer County is easy to get to, at the crossroads of I-79 and I-80, and close to Pittsburgh, Erie and Cleveland.
Kraynak’s Christmasland – September 10 – December 31
Experience a world of make-believe with twinkling lights, glittering trees, and a magical array of life-like characters. “Santa’s Christmasland” is a 300-foot, indoor starlight avenue of uniquely designed artificial Christmas trees. 20th Annual Hermitage Holiday Light Parade and Festival – November, 17 and 18
Children’s activities will be in the mall parking lot (1- 5 p.m.), with ice sculpting (2- 4 pm) and fireworks at 6 p.m. Over 80 entries decorated with lights and holiday themes lead Santa to the Shenango Valley Mall after the fireworks. Festival activities include a Taste of Hermitage. Call 724-981-0800 for more information.
Annual Christmas in the Park at Grove City Memorial Park – November 24th – January 2
Drive through lighted Christmas displays from area businesses and organizations. 5 – 11 p.m. 724-458-6410.
Small Business Saturday Holiday Extravaganza and “Night of Lights” — Downtown Sharon – November 25
Enter to win over $5,000 in fabulous prizes. Activities include live entertainment, refreshments, horse-drawn sleigh rides and fireworks. Take a selfie with Santa. “Downtown Shop Around” starts at 10 a.m. and the “Night of Lights” celebrations take place 5 – 11 p.m.
Noel Night in Volant – December 1, from 5 to 9 p.m.

It’s All About Christmas (Christmas Tree Tour) – December 1 – 3, December 8 – 10
A 151-year-old brick Victorian, home of the Hermitage Historical Society, showcases over 30-plus trees decorated for the holidays, plus

Olde Town Grove City Light Up Night – December 2, 4 to 8 p.m.
Enjoy the holiday spirit when Olde Towne Grove City lights up. Carolers, hayrides, Christmas lights and of course Santa comes to town. 724-458-0301.
Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade – December 2, 5 p.m.
The parade travels from Main St. in Greenville to Central Park. Parade by lights, visit with Santa, enjoy hot chocolate in Central Park following the parade. For more information, call 724-588-7150.
