Fall Foliage Tour 1 (from Pittsburgh):

Travel I-79 North to Exit 99 and follow US422 W to I-376 West. Continue onto I-376 West 5 miles to Exit 9 (Mitchell Rd.). Turn right on Mitchell Rd. toward Rt. 18. Turn left on Rt. 18 North and drive 4 miles to the village of New Wilmington (Rt. 208). Places of interest on Driving Tour 1 include, THE APPLE CASTLE, THE CHEESE HOUSE, THE AMISH QUILT SHOP, WINERIES/BREWERIES, and the charming villages of New Wilmington and Volant. As you travel Rt. 208 East towards Grove City, enjoy stops at WENDELL AUGUST for handcrafted metal giftware and the GROVE CITY PREMIUM OUTLETS. Numerous quality accomodations and dining are near Grove City Premium Outlets, so stay overnight and enjoy Self-Driving Tour 2 the next day.

Fall Foliage Tour 2 (from Grove City Premium Outlets):

Travel North on Rt. 258 towards Mercer. Cross over Rt. 19 at Courthouse Square to again pick up Rt. 258 North and travel back roads along the Shenango River to Clark.

Places of interest on Self-Driving Tour 2 are the Historic Village of Mercer where you can enjoy various shops and restaurants on the COURTHOUSE SQUARE. Just south of the Courthouse are two renowned Mercer County restaurants, RACHEL’S ROADHOUSE and the IRON BRIDGE INN. TARA, COUNTRY INN is about 30 minutes from Mercer (Clark, PA) at the intersection of Rt. 258 & Rt. 18. This luxurious inn offers the opportunity to escape from the ordinary with dining at STONEWALL’S TAVERN and picture-perfect vistas on the grounds. Fall Foliage Tour 3 (from Exit 15 off I-80):

This driving tour takes you through the charming towns of Mercer, Greenville and Jamestown.

Travel Rt. 19 North through town of Mercer and veer left onto Rt 58 West and travel past MUNNELL RUN FARMS and the ONE ROOM SCHOOHOUSE. Just a few miles from the intersection of Rt. 19 & Rt. 58, MAURICE K. GODDARD STATE PARK offers a scenic 12 mile hiking/biking trail and LAKE WILHELM. Travel Rt 58 West towards Greenville (15 miles) and take some time to enjoy the views on another trail; THE SHENANGO RIVER HIKING/BIKING TRAIL. Take Main Street in Greenville to Rt. 58 West toward Jamestown (7 miles), home of Pymatuning State Park. Pick up US 322 East to Unger Rd. Make left on Unger Rd then a right on E. Lake Rd. MORTALS KEY BREWING COMPANY is on E. Lake Rd and across the street is Pymatuning Lake, the largest manmade lake in PA.

Fall Foliage Tour 4 (from Downtown Sharon):

From State Street in downtown Sharon, take Rt. 718 North to River Road (Rt. 846 NE) to Greenville. Have fun traveling through a scenic mix of forestland areas, farmlands and beautiful vistas along the Shenango River Lake. Rt. 846 ends in Greenville. Downtown Sharon is a walkable area on the shores of the Shenango River with numerous shops and dining that the family will enjoy.
