Treat Mom (or yourself) to a tranquil Forest Therapy Walk this Mother’s Day! She will appreciate a mindful meander through the trails, along the creek, and to the gorgeous waterfall. As we make our way along the path, we will pause at different sit spots where participants will be invited to quietly engage in each of their senses to connect with nature. This deeply personal experience will be unique for every person. After each invitation there will be an opportunity, for those who choose, to share their thoughts with the group. Our walk through this beautiful property will close with a Tea Ceremony near the falls. During this time we will show our gratitude for all the positive health benefits we receive from nature and reflect on our journey to wellness.

As this walk will take place under the canopy of trees and down along the creek, participants should wear comfortable layers to prepare for the cool dampness. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Walkways vary between dirt and gravel paths with possible muddy spots and gradual hilly elevations. I would rate this as moderate physical activity. A refillable water bottle is suggested.

I will provide sit-upons for our sensory invitations. You are welcome to bring a lightweight camp chair or stool should you need one. An outdoor bathroom facility is available at this location.

Cobblehaus at the Falls Taproom will be open for business as we complete our walk. They have a food truck on site and a lovely building with seating inside and outside to view the falls. On tap is a big selection of beers that they brew at their Coraopolis location. They also offer a variety of non-alcohol options. If you enjoy art, you can peruse the beautiful Gerbe Glass creations for sale. The artist does glass blowing demonstrations on some Saturdays as well.
