Join DCNR staff and local historical societies to learn and engage with Mercer County history. There will be activities including atlatl throwing, flint knapping, mock archaeology digs, and apple cider samples. Please bring your stories and pictures to share related to Mercer County History. A hike in Penn’s Woods will kick off the event from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the John C. Oliver Multi-Purpose Loop Trail trailhead. The event will conclude with a keynote speaker, Chuck Williams, who will discuss the charcoal history of Mercer County and surrounding area from 1:00 to 1:30 PM at the Marina Pavilion.
