The Grove City Area Historical Society & Museum continues its celebration of America 250 with July’s display at the Grove City Community Library.
Just inside the library’s door, the display case features elements related to the wars America has fought, complete with pictures of local people involved in WW2 plus memorabilia from both WWI and WW2 worn by Grove City locals. The collection of Wendell August plates depicts historical events, and the largest, a tray, is engraved with the Declaration of Independence.
The library hours are 10-7 Monday and Friday, 10-5 on Tuesday and Thursday, and 8-3 on Saturday.
More artifacts can be found on a visit to the society at 111 College Ave., Grove City, any Monday evening from 6-8 or Tuesday through Saturday from 12-3.
