Mercer County’s October calendar continues on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with the Best Dam Ride Ever at Jefferson Township Fairgrounds.
The event brings together a UTV charity ride, live country music, food trucks, giveaways, and family activities while supporting local volunteer fire departments.
Sponsored by Fetter Veterinary Clinic, the event helps participating departments obtain equipment, training, and resources needed to serve their communities.
Firefighters and members of the Hermitage, Jefferson Township, West Middlesex, and Patagonia fire departments created the Best Dam Ride Ever. The organization began with an event at the Jefferson Township Fairgrounds in 2025 and is expanding in 2026 with a larger ATV and UTV event and concert.
Funds raised through the organization’s events support the participating fire departments and their work in communities throughout the area.
For riders, the October 10 schedule begins at 8 a.m. with UTV ride registration and the start of the ride. The ride is scheduled to finish at 4 p.m., followed by the event reception.
The day continues with live music from country singer Chris Higbee, who is scheduled to perform at 4:30 p.m.
Admission is currently listed at $25 for the UTV riding event and concert. A concert-only option is also available for $10, giving those not participating in the ride a chance to attend the afternoon concert.

The event reception adds to the afternoon with food trucks, giveaways, and family activities. Riders can stay after completing the route, while other visitors can arrive for the reception and concert.
