Together History” Exhibit in September. Do you have a cherished quilt tucked away in your closet or a
treasured family heirloom you’ve always been curious about? Bring it to life on Quilt Discovery Day at Gibson
House Manor! Join us for a unique and educational event where quilt historian and documentarian Jill
Meszaros will be on-site to examine your quilt and share her extensive knowledge of quilt history. Whether
your quilt is a family keepsake passed down through generations or a vintage piece you picked up at a flea
market, Jill will help uncover its story. During your personalized session, you’ll learn fascinating details such
as:
• The approximate age and origin of your quilt
• Its style, pattern, and design influences
• The types of fabrics and textiles used
• Care and conservation tips to preserve your quilt for future generations
Participants also can ask questions and gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry and history behind their quilts.
Don’t miss this chance to connect with your quilt’s past and become part of its story! Each quilt will be allotted
20 minutes and participants may bring up to 3 quilts. Bring your quilt, bring your curiosity, and discover the
