Event Details
The city’s 3rd Annual Winter Solstice Celebration is set for Saturday, December 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Rodney White Olympic Park (just behind the Hermitage City Building). The event features serene music, horse-drawn carriage rides, food and beverage vendors, and the burning of the Yule Log, containing personal, handwritten messages reflecting on the past year and expressing intentions for the year to come. Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year, in terms of daylight, and the return of light as the days grow longer after that.
