ART EXHIBIT "PERPETUAL CHANGE: By BRENT FOGT (9:00 am)
Brent Fogt creates drawings of imaginary organic forms that resemble islands, underwater plants or microscopic organisms. Within these forms are waves, explosions and amoeba. Closer still, the drawings contain thousands of tiny marks—usually circles or small lines made with pen or pencil. Brent varies the size and density of these marks to produce patterns and visual textures. Through his slow, deliberate technique, Brent explores drawing's potential to mimic the process of organic growth, resulting in forms that are perpetually changing.

BENJAMIN CORNELIUS-BATES FOR A PIPE ORGAN RECITAL (3:30 pm)
Friends of Music at Holy Trinity concert series presents Benjamin Cornelius-Bates for a pipe organ recital
Hymn improvisation and a balanced selection of pieces by classic and modern composers will be part of a winter recital performed at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on the Casavant Frères pipe organ.
Benjamin Cornelius-Bates, M.M., AD, AAGO, is the Organist, Composer, and Director of Music Ministries at St. Paul of the Cross Monastery, Composer in Residence at First Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, an adjunct music professor at Community College of Allegheny County, and a founding member of the Cinquefoil Ensemble. He is an adjunct professor in Sacred Music at Duquesne University.
Last fall, Benjamin competed in an organ improvisation contest in France since spontaneously creating music is one of his professional specialties.

An inaugural running event on our Trout Island Trail in Sharpsville, PA Be one of 200 persons to run the full out-and-back length of the Trout Island Trail. Distance approximately 4.6 miles. Overall awards to top three males and females.
